Albert Riera’s future at Liverpool is in doubt. Spanish player has not even made the bench for the last two games after some under-par performances following his return from six weeks out with a hamstring problem in January.

Liverpool forward Fernando Torres is being linked with a summer move to Barcelona. Catalan giants Barca are convinced Liverpool will be forced to sell the Spain star due to the club’s huge debts. Real Madrid are also keen, but the former Atletico captain would never consider a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has slammed Liverpool over their treatment of El Hadji Diouf. Allardyce, who rescued Diouf from his Merseyside hell when he was boss at Bolton, revealed that the striker still feels that Liverpool let him down. “He does get on our nerves, though,” Allardyce said
